Get excited! The 2025 SEAS Programme is almost here.

With an array of events lined up, we want to highlight the incredible efforts of our dedicated volunteers who have been working over the winter to make this season unforgettable.

An Exciting Line Up Awaits

Open Day: We kick off with the return of the start of season Open Day on Sunday April 27th, the perfect chance to come along and find out what we're all about or to meet up with old friends and discover what we have planned for the year.

Regular Open Evening Sessions: Following your feedback, the 2025 programme includes more Thursday evenings as well as our traditional Tuesdays. Like last year, these will be open to all, no invitation required.

We have tried to plan so that the chosen Tuesday evenings are likely to have good tides for access from the pontoon.

As always, the BBQ will be fired up and we will try and offer a variety of activities, conditions permitting, for you to experience. We hope to offer a pathway also for those who would like to develop skills.

Adventure Days: Once a month, a Saturday or Sunday in which we extend the adventure a little further. Already planned are the raft race and a trip to Plas Y Brenin, the National Mountain centre.

Events Programme: This year, we have listed the events on the website ('WhatsOn?') and there is also a handy calendar. You'll also find an option with each event to let us know that you are hoping to come, if you are able to use this then it will certainly help us to plan.

Volunteers: The Heart of SEAS

Our volunteers are essential to the SEAS Programme. Their dedication and passion help transform our vision into reality. In preparation for the 2025 season, they have been involved in a range of activities, showcasing their commitment.

Training: 11 volunteers braved the cold in December and January to train as powerboat instructors so that they can safely deliver exciting sessions on the water. Well done all.

Further induction and training is planed in April to make sure we are ready to go.

Equipment: The Conway Centre staff have worked hard to clean and maintain boats over the winter with some help from the SEAS team. The Wheelyboat is sparkling and the sailing boats looking great with a fresh coat of paint.

For those of you with particular affection for the launch, the exciting news is that SEAS have taken over responsibility and the trustees have agreed major refurbishment. It is soon heading off to Beaumaris for a new engine and some TLC.

We have also been fortunate to have been offered the use of some sailing dinghies from All Afloat. These promise to be a lot of fun.

Menai Bridge based Technical Rescue International have lent us some rescue equipment which will enhance our safety.

Networking: While you've been away, we've continued to have conversations with other user groups in our community to see how we can work together and share best practice. One outcome will hopefully be the development of accessible descriptions of activities and what to expect.

Get Involved: Are you feeling inspired? We are always looking for new volunteers! If you’re excited to contribute to the SEAS 2025 Programme or want to learn more about what we do, we want to hear from you. Volunteering offers a rewarding experience full of opportunities for learning, making connections, and giving back. There are various ways to get involved and everyone’s contributions are valuable We welcome all who want to help make the 2025 season extraordinary.
