Smooth Sailing with Angharad – and a Change of Course for Our Next Event

Tuesday’s session was one to remember! Thanks to the generosity of Plas Menai, we had the pleasure of using their launch, Angharad, while our own much loved launch is undergoing refurbishment. Angharad was a brilliant addition to the evening— not only a reliable support vessel but also a huge hit with our participants.

There was a real buzz as several of our sailors took the helm and had a go at driving Angharad. For some, this was their first time operating a powerboat, and the confidence and enthusiasm it sparked was fantastic to see. We're hopeful that, with continued opportunities like this, some of our participants will be able to work towards achieving a powerboat certificate in the future — an exciting step forward in our Sailability programme.

Unfortunately, due to preparations for Proms in the Park at Plas Newydd, our planned session on Thursday 26th June has had to be cancelled.

But don’t pack away your waterproofs just yet! We’re setting our sights on our next adventure — a visit to Port Dinorwic Sailing Club on Tuesday 1st July. It’ll be a great chance to explore a new venue and to try some different boats as well as old favourites like the wheelyboat.

Thank you as always to our volunteers, supporters, and of course, our wonderful participants — you’re what make SEAS Sailability such a vibrant and empowering community.

See you on the water soon!
