Exciting Upcoming Events: Open Evening, Adventure at a new venue, and Raft Race Challenge

The sun is due to be shining for our next event on Tuesday 20th May

This week, we meet again on Tuesday. The water is high and there should be good access to the pontoon for all.

The sun is set to stay with us, so it should be another great evening on the water - don't forget though that the dock can be quite shady so consider bringing a jacket to wear while you eat your burger!

The National Trust have kindly offered us an alternative place to park which should reduce the amount of hill to walk up or down. Please don't arrive before 5,30 and we'll make sure that someone is by Kelvin (the castle looking building) to direct you.

A trip to the National Mountain Centre, Plas Y Brenin; Thursday May 29th

We won't be at the Conway Centre the week after this. We have been invited to visit Plas Y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre for canoeing or kayaking on the lake Llynnau Mymbyr. Although this is not a tidal location, we have classified it as 'low' water as the event will have similar access challenges. Participants will need to be able to transfer from a chair into a canoe or kayak as these will be the only activities on offer.

The Raft Race, Sunday 1st June

We're holding our own raft race on Sunday 1st June. Come and help build rafts, make a team flag and then see who can get back to the dock before it all sinks!

We plan to meet at the Conway Centre dock at 9.15am and take everyone to the start to begin the build. There'll be space for those who want to paddle and hopefully some space also for others to cheer them on.
